  • Semarang Mayor Explores Joint Waste Processing in Vancouver

    The Mayor of Semarang, Hendrar Prihadi, was exploring opportunities for cooperation with EnEco company for waste processing which is one of the main concerns today. In a meeting on March 14th 2018 in Vancouver with President EnEco, Mr. Jesus A. Jayme Jr., Thermal Oxidation Processing System (TOPS) was offered as a solution by means of waste incineration process that will generate electricity and other benefits. The meeting was initiated by the government of the Province of British Columbia (BC) through a representative of the BC Government in Jakarta to bring together the Indonesian government with local entrepreneurs in Vancouver, BC in achieving concrete cooperation.     As the biggest city in British Columbia and the third biggest city in Canada, Vancouver is also known as the city with the heaviest rainfall throughout the year. The statistics said the rainfall could reach as much as 1,199 (47.2 inches) annually, in particular in winter. It came to no surprise that in January 2018, the rainfall reached its peak. Despite the heavy rain and wind engulfed the region, the youths remained enthusiast to joined Simon Fraser University Indonesia Association (SFUIA) Olympic 2018 held at East Gym on January 21, 2018. As many as 150 youths Indonesian and Canadians showed great spirit to participate in 4 competitions such as futsal, basketball, volleyball and dodge ball. Selengkapnya
