Many cultural activities are programmed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Tunisia. As part of celebrating this event, the traditional dance troupe Liga Krida Budaya Tari of University of Indonesia has arrived at the Tunis Carthage Airport yesterday afternoon, July 18, 2010.
The troupe of 11 people led by Mrs. Karim El Niniek is visiting Tunisia by the invitation of the Tunisian Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation. The troupe is scheduled to participate in six summer festivals in several cities of Tunisia, performing Indonesian traditional dances.
Liga Krida Budaya Tari will make his first appearance in front of the Tunisian public in the parade to be held tomorrow Monday, July 19 alongside the Festival of Ulysse, Djerba.
The troupe will also participate in the Aoussou Carnival in Sousse, July 24. The troupe Krida Budaya will also take part in the Indonesian Night to be held on July 27 at the Mqison de Jeunes of El Menzah 6 in Tunis, which intended to be the celebration night of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Tunisia. Liga Tari Krida Budaya will share the stage with Saung Angklung Udjo, an Indonesian bamboo orchestra from the city of Bandung in West Java.
