Indonesia will host the "19th ASEAN Summit and Related Summit" which will be held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC), Bali Indonesia starting from November 14th - 19 th 2011. Meanwhile, side event will be held at the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC) Bali, Indonesia from November 16 - 19, 2011.
All media representatives who are interested in covering the events must register online using the prescribed Media Registration Form available at http://asean2011.kemlu.go.id or via email to email@example.com along with soft copies of the supporting documents and digital photo. Media Registration has been opened since September 15, 2011 and will be closed on October 29, 2011.
Here are some guidance for media accreditation/registration:
a. How to Register:
1. Complete the Media Registration Form and attach soft copies of the following documents:
a) Letter of assigments from the editor/executive of the media
b) A form of identification - KTP for locals or passport for non-Indonesian citizens-that is valid at least six months;
c) A recent digital passport-sized photograph
2. Should the online registration be not accessible, the soft copies of the required documents have to be sent to the email address mentioned above. Please note that incomplete and late registration will not be processed
3. An email notification will be sent to confirm the registration for successful media accreditation together with a unique ID number. Copy of confirmation letter and unique ID number must be printed out and showed to the Registration Desk, Melia Hotel Bali, for issuence of ID pass, on November 12 - 16, 2011, at 09.00 - 17.00 local time. ID must be worn all the times.
b. Visa Requirement:
Applicants who are not based in Indonesia are required to apply for a journalist visa at the nearest Indonesian Embassy/Representative Office. Please bring along a copy of the confirmation letter with the unique ID number when applying for the visa.
c. Custom Clearance Requrement:
The list of equipments that will be brought by applicants must be lagalized by the nearest Indonesia Embassy/Representative Office for importation and exportation purpose.
d. Media Centre and Media Pool:
Media centre is located at Singaraja Hall, BNDCC, Bali starting from November 15 - 19, 2011. Hours of operation: 06.00 - 24.00 local time. Computer with internet access and WIFI will be available at the centre. First come first serve is applied for all media personnel who wish to use these facilities. refreshment and lunch will be also available for media representatives.
e. Tentative Program and Other Information for Media
Tentative program for media and other information about the events will be released in due course at http://asean2011.kemlu.go.id
f. Accomodation and Travel Arrangement
Media representatives will be responsible for their own travel arrangements, reservation and payments of hotel/accomodation
