Indonesia’s Tourism Promotion on Peace Boat’s Global Festival for Culture and Tourism in Yokohama

The wet and cold Yokohama weather did not dampen the spirits as 1200 visitors continue to pour the “Global Festival for Culture and Tourism, Spring 2017” organised by Japan-based NPO Peace Boat aboard the Ocean Dream cruise ship last weekend, 7-8 April 2017.

During its time anchored at the Yokohama port, the Ocean Dream hosted the Indonesia promotional booth and those of the other 9 countries which are parts of the upcoming Peace Boat cruise route. The Festival is an annual open ship event in Yokohama before the cruise ship sails for another voyage.

Peace Boat is a Japan-based international non-governmental and non-profit organization that works to promote peace, human rights, equal and sustainable development and respect for the environment. It carries out its main activities through a chartered passenger ship that travels the world on peace voyages and enables people to engage across borders in dialogue and mutual cooperation at sea, and in the ports that it visits.
