  • Again, Two Students Top NSW in Indonesian HSC, Receive Lottie Maramis Prize

    ​Following from a similar visit to Macarthur Anglican School last week where a graduate student topped NSW in the 2018 HSC for Indonesian Extension, on Tuesday (12.2.19), representatives from the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) Sydney, the Australian Indonesian Association (AIA) and Visit Indonesian Tourism Office (VITO) Sydney, attended Award Ceremonies at Woolooware High School and Smith’s Hill High School, to again present the Lottie Maramis Prize to two graduate students who topped the State in the 2018 HSC for Indonesian Continuers (Woolooware) and Indonesian Beginners (Smith’s Hill).   • INDONESIAN CONUSLATE GENERAL IN SYDNEY ENCOURAGES INCREASED PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN INDONESIAN-AUSTRALIAN TOURISM INDUSTRY

    ​​​​The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, through the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion was back to participate in this year’s Flight Centre World Travel Expo, which will be held in four major Australian cities beginning in Sydney. The first day of the exhibition in Sydney (2.2.19), was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sydney, Heru Hartanto Subolo and Edy Wardoyo, Deputy Assistant of Regional Marketing Development IV for Australia, New Zealand and Oceania from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism.   • Indonesian Women Representatives from various NGO’s Participate in Australia Awards Program

    As many as 27 women activists from Indonesia, representing various NGOs from different regions in Indonesia have been participating in a Short-Term Australia Awards program in Sydney, Australia. During their time in Australia, these influential individuals undertook an organisational leadership and management training course for Indonesian NGO’s empowering women, run by the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre at the University of Sydney.   • 12 Young Indonesian Artists Have Their Artworks Exhibited in Australia

    An exhibition entitled TERMASUK: Contemporary Art from Indonesia will exhibit artworks from as many as 12 young Indonesian artists comprising of 6 men and 6 women, at Daren Knight Gallery in Waterloo, New South Wales, Australia from 19 January - 16 February 2019. The artworks include paintings, works on paper, prints, textiles, embroidery, ceramics and sculptures. The exhibition was officially opened by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sydney, Heru Hartanto Subolo at the Darren Knight Gallery in Waterloo, NSW on Saturday (19/1/19).
