?On the 4th of December 2014, at the office of the Indonesian Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC), The Indonesian Consulate in Sydney coordinated with IIPC to run the Consul General’s Roundtable Discussion concerning the economic relations between Indonesia and Australia, especially in the three jurisdictions of the Sydney Consulate: New South Wales (NSW), Queensland (QLD), and South Australia (SA). This discussion was attended by 9 panelists who represented Government and business in NSW. In the discussions, Austrade submitted that the Market Plan for Indonesia in 2015 covers three fields: food security, infrastructure and consumption goods. Austrade also put forward the plans of the Minister for Trade and Investment Australia, Hon. Andrew Robb, to visit Indonesia in the first half of 2015 which is also expected to include hundreds of Australian businesses. NSW Trade and Investment noted that the priorities of 2015 will be confirmed after the NSW State Election in March 2015. Attendees from business expressed the obstacles they are experiencing in the trade between Indonesia-Australia, such as: Absence of information regarding export regulations to Australia, standardization of rules, supplier certifications, difficulty in identifying suppliers in Indonesia and the difficulty in obtaining export licenses for the Indonesian exporters. At the end of the meeting the participants stressed the importance of developing cooperation between Indonesia and Australia, especially through the signing of the Strategic Partnership between Indonesia and Australia.
