"With more familiar with each other's culture, people expect relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia to become stronger". That is one quote welcome Ambassador Sofia, Bunyan Saptomo, in the opening exhibition of photographs and paintings of Indonesian children in the cultural city of Veliko Turnovo Bulgaria on 14 November 2012. The opening of the exhibition is also enlivened by dance performances from dance group Enchantment Rose archipelago consisting of two Indonesian students and 6 students Bulgaria. The photo exhibition was held in cooperation with the Provincial Government and the City of Veliko Turnovo and Club archipelago.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by about 100 invited composed of local government officials, academics, businessmen and members of the club archipelago including children one primary school in the town of Veliko Turnovo. Among officials and community leaders were present on the occasion, were: Governor of Veliko Turnovo, Pencho Penchev; Bulgarian Parliament, Asparuh Stamenov; Commissioner TEREM (state-owned military industries), Major General (Ret) Stefan Dimitrov; Vice Chancellor of the University of Veliko Turnovo, Prof. . Bagreliya Borisova, and Director of the School of Military, Gen. Svetzan Harizanov.
After the opening, followed by a presentation on Indonesia and end with dance performances and cooking demonstrations fried rice dishes as well as traditional food of Indonesia.
At the exhibition photographs and paintings have been exhibited include photos of some icons cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Yogyakarta), some Indonesian tourist icons such as Borobudur, Prambanan, Komodo and Raja Ampat, as well as places of worship to show Indonesian society is multi-culture and multirelgious. The photos are mostly donations from club members archipelago. In addition, also exhibited paintings of Indonesian children who participated in the race in order HUT pictures of Montana City, Bulgaria.
Before the exhibition, the Ambassador had a meeting with the Governor and the Mayor of Veliko Turnovo and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Veliko Turnovo. Besides, it has also held interviews with newspaper reporters "Bopba" and TV Veliko Turnovo in the Office of the Governor and the Mayor.
In an interview with reporters of local TV and print media Ambassador al explained the purpose of the exhibition of photographs and paintings of Indonesian Children, as well as the results of the talks with the Governor, the Mayor and Vice-Rector of the University of Veliko Turnovo. Presented by Ambassador that in a meeting with the Governor of Veliko Turnovo has agreed to continue efforts to establish cooperation between DIY with sister province Veliko Turnovo. There are three reasons to make the DIY and Veliko a sister province, namely: they had become the capital of each country, both rich in heritage, and and they both have a leading university in the country. In a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Veliko Turnovo agreed to open a joint class Indonesian at the University of Veliko Turnovo.
Veliko Turnovo is the name of the province and the provincial capital in Central Bulgaria. The city is known as the city struggles and the old capital of Bulgaria. As the old capital, the city is rich in historical and cultural heritage with the icon Tsarevets fortress located on a hilltop in the center of town.
