Congratulatory remarks
by Indonesian Ambassador
H.E. Nicholas T. Dammen
on the occasion of the Opening of
the Youngdeungpo Multicultural Village Center
Hon. Kim Hyung-soo
Mayor of Youngdeungpo District
Distinguished guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to thank you for having me here today on this very auspicious occasion and for giving me an opportunity to deliver some remarks in celebration of the opening of the Youngdeungpo Multicultural Village Center.
Please accept my sincere congratulation to you on opening this wonderful Multicultural Village Center, which has many facilities to give warm hands to foreigners who are trying to settle down in a foreign country, Korea, having different culture, language and environment.
I am particularly happy as an only ambassador who has the Embassy in this Youngdeungpo District to see the opening of this center. If necessary, I will be pleased to offer cooperation and support in the future on the activities of the Center to join Hon. Mayor Kim’s efforts to make a harmonious multicultural society of Korea.
Again I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Hon. Kim Hyung-soo for his kind attention on the welfare of the multi-cultural families in Youngdeungpo District where about 100 Indonesian people are staying out of 30,000 in the whole country. I wish the Youngdeungpo Multicultural Village Center a great success and development in the years to come.
Thank you.
