Consular Services Monterey, March 25th 2012


 To better serve and protect the Indonesian citizens in the area of accreditation, the Consulate General of Indonesia in San Francisco together with the Indonesian community in Monterey held a consular services and a community gathering on Sunday, March 25th 2012 at the Monterey Youth Center, Monterey. The consular services was provided to Indonesian citizens who wanted to report their arrival in the U.S, and Indonesian citizen who wanted to renew their passport. The Consulate also answered questions surrounding consular issues and immigration policies in Indonesia. This event was also enlivened by an arts performance from the Indonesian community and afternoon lunch.
In his opening remarks, the honorable Consul General, Asianto Sinambela delivered recent developments on politics, economy, social and culture in Indonesia and its impact on the Indonesian community in the United States. The Consul General also gave an open invitation to the Indonesian community to participate in the Indonesian Diaspora congress that will be held in Los Angeles on 6th-8th July 2012.
Places for consular services are held, in the area where there is a high number of Indonesian citizens working and studying. These consular services also act as a gathering for the Indonesian community.
