Diplomatic and Service Visa


A. Diplomatic Visa

Diplomatic Visas are given to foreign citizens holding diplomatic passports/Laissez Passer (UN Passport), on assignment to Indonesia for diplomatic purposes. Diplomatic Visa is only for single entry.

Requests for Diplomatic Visas must be submitted through Indonesian Embassy in Rome, by filling out the appropriate application form and enclosing:

  1. Complete proof of identity of the passport bearer
  2. Two recent colourful photographs 4 x 6 cm of the passport bearer.
  3. The original passport with at least 18 months validity from the date of submission.
  4. A diplomatic note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic confirming the person's diplomatic assignment. For other nationals, a similar diplomatic note from the Embassies/Consulates/International Organizations based in Rome.

Holders of diplomatic or service passport from the following countries do not require visa to enter Indonesia for a short term visit (maximum of stay ranging from 14, 30, 60 and 90 days):

B. Service Visa

Service Visas are given to foreign citizens holding service passports/Laissez Passer (UN Passport) or other passports, on assignment to Indonesia for non-diplomatic purposes. Service Visa is only for single entry.

Requests for Service Visas must be submitted through Indonesian Embassy in Rome, by filling out the appropriate application form and enclosing:

  1. Complete proof of identity of the passport bearer.
  2. Two recent colourful photographs 4 x 6 cm of the passport bearer.
  3. The original passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of submission.
  4. A diplomatic note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic confirming the person's non-diplomatic assignment. For other nationals,a similar diplomatic note from the Embassies/Consulates/International Organizations based in Rome.

Notes :

After the submission, Either diplomatic or service visa request will be processed through online system and it will take around 4 - 7 working days.
