In cooperation with the UKP-PIP, the presidential working unit on the implementation of the state ideology of Pancasila, the Indonesian Embassy in Paris held a "Dialogue on Diversity", or Dialog Kebhinnekaan, on 24 November 2017. 90 people attended the event, from Indonesian, diaspora, members of associations in Paris, and Embassy's staff. Ambassador Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan explained that the dialogue aims at a strengthened and harmonious unity between all Indonesians, as intended by Sukarno-Hatta, the country's founding fathers, through Pancasila.
Dr. Nurmala Kartini Pandjaitan Sjahrir, Mr. Atmadji Sumarkidjo, and Mr. Damianus Taufan from UKP-PIP spoke at the event, highlighting the historical journey of Indonesians, that leads to the diversity in races, beliefs, local customs, even physical appearances. Such diversity is an important power for Indonesia.
