Signing of three Letters of Intent in energy cooperation between Indonesia and France

​During his visit in Paris for One Planet Summit, Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources, Ignasius Jonan, also witnessed the signing of three Letters of Intent (LoI) in renewable energy power plants between PT PLN (Persero) and three French independent power producers (IPP): Pace Energy, Equis Energy Indonesia, and Akuo Energy Indonesia, on Monday (11/12) at the Embassy. The three projects are planned to produce 170MW with total investment of 336,9 Million US Dollar.

 

The three renewable energy projects are:

1) Wind Power Plant (PLTB) Tanah Laut in South Kalimantan Province, capacity 70 MW, in cooperation with Pace Energy pte. Ltd & PT Juvisk Tri Swarna consortium. The target of the COD is 24 months from Financial Date (FD)/2020 and values for US$ 153.738.000.

2) Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Bali-1 in Kubu District, Bali Province, capacity 50 MWp, in cooperation with Equis Energy Indonesia & PT Infrastruktur Terbarukan Fortuna consortium. The target of the COD is 20 months from Financial Date (FD)/2020 and values for US$ 91.600.000.

3) ​Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Bali-2 in Jembrana District, Bali Province, capacity 50 MWp, in  cooperation with Akuo Energy Indonesia ltd consortium. The target of the COD is 20 months from Financial Date (FD)/2020 and values for US$ 91.600.000.

 

Minister Jonan highly appreciated the Indonesia-France cooperation and commitment in infrastructure for electricity. This is also part of Indonesia’s contribution in responding climate change. Ambassador Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan also expressed his concern, that the projects should bring welfare and prosperity for Indonesian people, as well as contribute to national development agenda.
