Indonesian Consulate in New York is creating Indonesian Language Ambassadors for USA

​​Despite of the snowy weather, future Indonesian language ambassadors headed to Indonesian Consulate for participating in the opening of Training for Trainers Kelas Bahasa Indonesia program which was held on Saturday, February 7, 2015. The 12 selected participants came from New York, Philadelphia, and Connecticut. Though the differences of their background, all participants hold one vision which is to become the voice of Indonesia who will spread Indonesian language to the whole world.


Participants said that there had been interests from their company to give training in Indonesian languge for their employee who will be posted in Indonesia, but the absence of structuralized Indonesian language teaching held them back. From that point on, participants are eagerly looking for the best way to teach Indonesian language.
Consul for Social-Cultural Affairs of Indonesian Consulate gave his opening remarks and appreciation to all participants. He sincerely hoped that participants could get benefit from the training and spread the Indonesian language in USA. The training which was led by Indriyo Sukmono, a lecturer of Bahasa Indonesia for Yale University, gave a new perspective to participants about standardize system on Teaching Indonesian Language as Foreign Language. The participants also learned how to understand the learning style of their students so they can teach in the most comfort way to their students’ needs.
