The authorities in Bali issued an advisory in relation to the Mt Agung volcanic activities.
Tourist areas, predominantly in South Bali about 60-70 km away from the volcano are under no threat. The affected zone is a small area of 4 km radius from Mt Agung crater.
Ngurah Rai airport, closed due to volcanic ash, is scheduled to reopen at 7pm local time today. Bali hotels are working to ensure stranded tourists are taken care.
