Indonesia participated at India International Trade Fair (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on November 14-27th 2014.
IITF, the biggest trade fair in India, is organized annually by Indian Trade Promotion Organization. Every year the display of diverse products from various states and countries attract around two million visitors and buyers from India as well as from abroad.
With “Women Entrepreneur” as its main theme, IITF 2014 was inaugurated by the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on November 14th 2014. All Indian states and countries such as Afghanistan, South Africa, Indonesia, Korea, and Japan took part in the fair. This year South Africa was appointed as partner country, Thailand as focus country, and Delhi as focus state.
Represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in New Delhi, Indonesia set up a pavilion at Hall 18 lower level no. 1A. The pavilion was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Indonesia to India on November 14th 2014. Indonesian Pavilion showcased food products by several companies (Inbisco, Sona Impex, Indofood, and Garuda Food). Moreover, PT Dirgantara Indonesia also displayed Indonesia’s aircrafts as passive exhibitor. Indonesia has been routinely participating at IITF since 1992.
Ambassador of Indonesia to India, Rizali Wilmar Indrakesuma hopes that through IITF Indonesian products can be more widely known not only in India but also throughout the world in order to increase the country’s export. He also hopes for more participation from Indonesian companies in future fairs.
