Based on the Presidential Executive Order of the Republic of Indonesia no. 69/2015 which is renewed by no. 104/2015 regarding Complimentary Visitor's Visa, and the Decree of Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 22 Tahun 2015 on Immigration check points for Complimentary Visitor's Visa:

  1. U.S. passport holders and other countries that mentioned in that order are granted a Complimentary Visitor's Visa for tourism purpose only no more than 30 (thirty) days since the day of arrival;
  2. The definition of "Tourism" in this matter pertains only to travels for recreational purposes, self development, or discovery of unique tourist spots;
  3. The issuance of this Complementary Visitor's Visa in non-extendable and non-transferable to other types of visa.
  4. The bearer of the Complementary Visitor's Visa is restricted for entry through the following airports:
  • Soekarno Hatta Airport in Jakarta
  • Juanda Airport in Surabaya
  • Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali
  • Kualanamu Aiport in Medan
  • Hang Nadim Airport in Batam

and  seaports:

  • Sri Bintan in Tanjung Pinang
  • Sekupang in Batam
  • Batam Center
  • Nongsa Terminal Bahari, Batam
  • Marina Teluk Senimba, Batam
  • Harbour Bay, Batam
  • Lagoi, Tanjung Uban
  • Lobam, Tanjung Uban
  • Tanjung Balai Karimun

The bearer of the Complementary Visitor's Visa is allowed to exit through ANY immigration check points.

However, if you plan to visit Indonesia for tourism purpose for more than 30 days, or the purpose of your visit is other than tourism, you will have to apply for Indonesian Visa, either through the Consulate General of Indonesia in Los Angeles, or Visa On Arrival.


Single Entry Visa

  • Completed visa form (click here to download form)
  • Copy of greencard (for non-U.S. citizen), or other document that states may re-enter USA if the return ticket is to USA
  • Two recent color passport size photograph (size, white background)
  • Letter for sponsor for non-tourism purpose
  • Valid passport and (at least 6 months beyond entry/passport expiration date)
  • Copy of itinerary/return or onward ticket
  • Copy of recent bank statement (as proof of sufficient fund to be in Indonesia)
  • US$ 50.00 fee. (money order or cashier's check payable to Indonesian Consulate General)
