The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia has always been trying to bring more knowledge about Indonesia to the people of Pakistan especially with the people of Sindh by attending regularly all events and functions in Karachi, so that the new geration of Pakistan could be able to know about Indonesia in a much attractive and fascinating way.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia participated in the “International Travel & Tourism Show” held at Marquee, Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi from 09 to 10 May, 2010 and has been actively involved to promote Indonesian tourism and culture and provided as much information to the people of Sindh Province.
During the Exhibition, informations regarding Indonesian tourist resorts, historical places, weather, means of transportation and stay, presented to the people of Sindh. Large numbers of spectators took keen interest in the tourist resort of Indonesia. A big screen was also installed in the middle of the stall where the pictures, films and documentaries of Indonesian Tourist Resort were continuously showing to the people.
To illustrate friendship and solidarity with the people of Pakistan especially with the People of Sindh, the organizers DAWN Group of Newspaper provided the opportunity to the Indonesian Consulate General to promote Indonesian tourism and culture through this forum. Indonesian Cultural Performance was also presented in the most beautiful manner.
All the visitors including Artists from Northern Area of Pakistan were very impressed and delighted to watch the wonder performance by the Indonesian Artists. Brochures on Indonesian Tourist destinations were made available to the people of Sindh in a beautiful paper bags. The spectators were looking very anxious to know more about Indonesia and before the conclusion of the Exhibition the entire Brochures were distributed in the audience.
The Chief Guest, HE Ms. Shazia Marri, Minister for Culture & Tourism of the Government of Sindh along with the management of the Exhibition visited the Indonesian stall. She was looking quite impressed the way the Indonesian Consulate General was promoting Indonesian Tourism. This wonderful event concluded with a great success and leaving high and fantastic signs of goodwill in the hearts of the visiting spectators.
