Ambassador Yuwono’s Courtesy Call to VP Mnangagwa and VP Mphoko


?Ambassador Yuwono accompanied by Political Affairs Officer visit Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko for courtesy call on April 17, 2015. The meeting was to introduce Ambassador Yuwono to both Vice Presidents and to strengthen bilateral ties between Indonesia and Zimbabwe.

During the meeting, Ambassador Yuwono explained about the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference and the 10th anniversary of the New Asia-Africa Strategic Partnership to be held from 19 to 24 April 2015 in Jakarta and Bandung, which will be attended by the heads of states from Asia and Africa in order to discusses the south-south cooperation, especially on the issue of economy and capacity building.
Vice President Mnangagwa and Vice President Mphoko said that Indonesia and Zimbabwe has a close relationship and added that Indonesia has an important role in Asia and Africa, therefore the economic and trade relations between the two countries should be further improved. The Vice President also hoped that more Indonesian businessmen can invest in Zimbabwe.
