The Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International
Treaties has main duties to formulate and implement policies and the standardization on the framework of legal and international treaties.

The Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties has functions as follows:

  1. to prepare the formulation of policies of the Ministry on the framework of legal and international treaties.
  2. to implement the policies on the framework of legal and international treaties.
  3. to actively engage in negotiation related to the treaty making process on bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation on the aspect of politics, economics, socio-culture, security and territory.
  4. to set the standard, norms, guidance, criteria, and procedure of the framework of legal and international treaties.
  5. to provide advisory services and technical assistance.
  6. to conduct administrative works of the Directorate General.

 The Secretariat of the Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties has main duties to implement the part of the duties of the Directorate General on setting the work plan and program, compiling the data and mission paper, personnel, financial, logistics and administrative affairs, household, and documentation and statistical data of the Directorate General.

 The Secretariat of the Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties has functions as follows:

  1. to coordinate the formulation of the work plan and program.
  2. to prepare the evaluation report of the work plan and program.
  3. to organize personnel, financial, logistic, administration and household.
  4. to conduct documentation and statistical data of the implemented work plan and program.
