The Fourth Session of Joint Commission on Economic and trade Cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Cuba was held on September 8th – 9th, 2005, at Nusantara Room, Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, in Jakarta. The Indonesian Delegation was headed by the Acting Director General for American and European Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Alfred T. Palembangan. The Cuban Delegation was led by H.E. Ramón Ripoll Diaz, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Investment and Cooperation.
The meeting took place in cordial atmosphere and friendship environment in discussing specific areas of cooperation such as trade, investment and financial cooperation, outstanding debt, health and biopharmaceutical industry, agriculture, maritime transportation, science and technology cooperation, education, sports, culture and tourism, radio and television.
Both Delegations have signed the Agreed Minutes of the Fourth Session of Joint Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation, which reiterated the commitments to enhance the economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
Both Delegations also agreed that the next Session of Joint Commission shall take place in Cuba, in 2007, at a date and venue to be determined by both Governments afterwards.
