Remarks of the Ambassador in The Farewell Diplomatic Reception Colombo, 27 December 2011




Dear Excellency Mahmood Mohammed Al-Mahmood, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; Dear Excellencies Heads of Diplomatic Missions;

Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen;


Allow me to begin with conveying my deepest appreciation to you, Excellency Mohammed Al-Mahmood, for arranging this farewell reception. Thank you, Excellency Al-Mahmood, for your excellent leadership and determined dedication as the Dean of Diplomatic Corps.


I would also like to thank all of you, Excellencies, for gracing this auspicious gathering with your presence.


Dear Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen;


My assignment will terminate on 31 December 2011. Afterwards, my family and I will fly from Colombo, returning to Jakarta on 3 January 2012.


I have enjoyed pleasant friendship with you for these 3.5 years. And I feel greatly privileged to work with such supportive, professional colleagues as you all here in Colombo.


We have shares so much experience and also good times. So, thank you for your support and cooperation all these years.


Dear Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen;


I might be leaving you soon. But, I hope we can still maintain our friendship.


And please be assured that whenever you visit Indonesia, you have me as your friend there. I would be more than pleased to meet you and be your host.
