Pasarsenggol, which was organized by Ms. Kikit and Ms. Yanti, Indonesians living in Zürich, becomes an annual event, held every year, aimed at promoting Indonesian culture, Indonesian traditional food and drink as well as Indonesian home products to friends of Indonesia in Switzerland.
Besides offering Indonesian traditional food and drink, some stands offered Indonesian home products as well, such as Indonesian pearls and batik. Around 300 visitors enjoyed the variety of Indonesian culinary delights. H.E. Djoko Susilo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Bern, attended this event as well. Some visitors took part in the Sing Contest sponsored by the Indonesian Embassy.
The Indonesian Embassy also opened its consular and information desk as to provide consular service for the Indonesian and Swiss and to promote Indonesian tourism and culture, particulary the Komodo National Park. The Embassy distributed flyers of Komodo National Park, providing information on how to vote for Komodo National Park as one of the finalists of the 7 Wonders of Nature.
Pasarsenggol continued until 10 pm, allowing the guests to meet some new and old friends and enjoy the Indonesian atmosphere. Charly`s Band entertained the visitors with some dangdut songs.
