Starting 2017 with Indonesia Culinary Experience in Baku

Starting a new page in 2017, the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia is welcoming Indonesia's friend to experience Indonesia Culinary tradition.

Held at the Ambassador's residence on January, 2nd 2017, among the guests are famous names in Azerbaijan such as singer Mrs Aybeniz Hashimova  and Mrs Nuriyye Huseynova; fashion designer Gulnara Khalilova; composer  Mrs Aygun Samadzade  and Mrs Sevinch Tofiggizi, as well as  Paralympics athlete Ilham Zakiyev.

Before the guest are invited to taste the Indonesian food, Ms Ganira Pashayeva, member of Azerbaijan Mili Majlis, is hosting a cooking class. Together with Indonesian Women Circles, Ms Ganira Pashayeva showed the guest how to prepare traditional Indonesian cooking such as Rendang (Indonesian beef spicy stew),  Mie bakso  (Indonesian Chicken meat ball and noddle).

Co-hosting the event, Ms Ganira Pashayeva said: 'Indonesia is a friend, a brother for Azerbaijan'. That is the reason, why she has been  working with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, gathering her friends and colleagues to the event .

A goal of boasting the relation between two countries is definitely in the air that night with  Indonesia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, H.E. Husnan Bey Fananie, added: 'Through the event tonight, the feast and the food, we are hoping that we will be able to strengthen people to people contact between Indonesia and Azerbaijan'

Among the food prepared and tasted that night, there is a certain favourite which is Rendang, an Indonesian beef spicy stew, that once awarded the most delicious food in the world by CNN.
