?As part of the citizen services, on December 19, 2014 at Al-Ahly Sports Club, the Embassy of Indonesia in Amman has organized a gathering with the Indonesian community in Jordan. The event set-up with a range of activities, namely: opening, singing the Indonesian national anthem, Ambassador’s speech, lunch, sports and entertainments, public services, Maghrib prayer and closing.
In his speech, H.E. Ambassador Teguh Wardoyo, expressed the importance of gathering as an effort to strengthen the brotherhood of Indonesian community in Jordan as well as a medium of sharing and updating various information including the up-dated national and international issues. In that matter, Ambassador has shared a common concern in line with the present regulation by the Jordanian government related to the Islamic State and other radical movement issues which also comprising pre-emptive policy. Ambassador emphasized that the Jordanian government will crack down on extremists, as well as information supplier and any activities and forms of sympathy, including supporting those activities through the internet. Ambassador urged the Indonesian society, particularly students in Jordan, to be more careful in addressing those issues and staying away from any form of provocations of radical movements.
Ambassador also delivered such advices related to the end of the year 2014 which was getting closer and expecting that the Indonesian people in Jordan can afford a maximum level on their works and be able to contribute to both, the individual and social achievement in the upcoming year.
The exhilirated event was started from 1-5 pm and was attended by no less than 400 Indonesian citizens in Jordan who enjoyed a range of activities such as futsal, basketball, table tennis, badminton, children's games, and music listening.?
