In order to promote excellence Indonesia construction sector in Algeria, Alger Embassy in cooperation with PT. Wijaya Karya Tbk participate in the International Exhibition of Public Works Alger to-9 (9éme Salon International des travaux publics - SITP 2011) which took place at the Palais des Expositions SAFEX, Alger on 21 to 24 November 2011. The exhibition was officially opened by Algerian Minister of Public Works, Dr. Amar Ghoul was attended by 235 state-owned enterprises and private Algerian and 115 foreign companies.
At the inauguration of the exhibition, the pavilion Indonesia had the honor was first visited by the Algerian Minister of Public Works, Dr. Amar Ghoul who was accompanied by Deputy PM. Algeria, Mr. Nourdine Zerhouni and a number of high officials in the Ministry of Public Works held a dialogue with Algeria and Project Manager PT. WIKA Algeria, Ir. Tamjianto about the work activity of PT. WIKA has over four years of work in the construction of the project "East-West Motorway" in eastern Algeria.
Currently, PT. WIKA Algeria is completing additional work provided by the main contractor "COJAAL" ie making tunnels, roads, drainage way (Box Culvert), a unit of Box Culvert road, after the main work can be completed in early 2011 in accordance with the time stipulated in the contract . Year 2012 - 2013, PT. WIKA also will work on real estate development projects in the province of Constantine, the construction of social housing for the community as much as 1500 units consisting of 80 towers.
During the exhibition, the pavilion Indonesia get a lot of attention and visits from both the Algerian national and foreign entrepreneurs. A number of local construction companies such as "TCE / Entreprise de travaux de Construction, a company engaged in the development and construction of housing and public works and infrastructure company" ALCAHYD "/ Algérienne des Canalisations Hygrauliques" Algerian national company engaged in the canalization of hydraulic, interested in exploring cooperation with PT. WIKA Algeria to work on a number of major infrastructure projects in Algeria.
Although only one state followed by construction from Indonesia Embassy in Alger hope through Indonesia's participation in this exhibition will contribute to efforts to enhance bilateral economic ties Indonesia - Algeria, particularly in the construction field as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) On Cooperation In Public Works Infrastructure Sector which has been signed between the two countries in the opportunity the visit of Minister of Public Works Algeria, Dr. Amar Ghoul to Jakarta on January 12 to 16, 2009.
