We are very pleasure to announce that the application of Indonesian scholarship (called as Darmasiswa RI)programme at UniversitasNegeri Malang 2018 is finally OPEN. Darmasiswa RI is a one year cultural immersion programme for learning Indonesian language, arts, and culture. The programme is fully sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia. Darmasiswa RI aims to promote and increase the interests in the language, arts, and culture of Indonesia.

Having the pride of its strength in Indonesian Language Education, UniversitasNegeri Malang (UM) has been one of the best destinations of Darmasiswaprogramme. In addition to BIPA class, students can also join a number of international and cultural events, such as Malang Flower Carnival, Indonesian Day (batik workshop, dangdut class, traditional games), Topeng Malang show and many others. As a city of education and tourism, Malang offers a plethora of attractions and fresh air as it is surrounded by a number of mountains. Malang is also rich of cultural heritage since it was the capital city of the Javanese Hindu-Buddhist Kingdom of Singhasari.
