Visit Visa Exemption

Commencing on 1 March 2016 according to Presidential Decree No. 21 of 2016 regarding Visit Visa Exemption, Passport holders of certain countries in the regulation are exempt from needing to have an entry visa to enter Indonesia (Including Namibia and Angola citizens). The visa exemption is valid only for 30 days, non-extendable or convertible into another kind of stay permit.

The visa exemption facility can be used for tourism, family visit, social visit, art and cultural, government duty, to deliver a speech or attend a seminar, international exhibition, meetings with head office or representative office in Indonesia, or transit.

The visa exemption facility cannot be used for journalism purposes


Visa Application

 

Requirements:

For Diplomatic/Service Visa

Applicant must bring these following documents:

  1. Application Form to be completed with 2 (two) photographs and submitted with your passport.
  2. Letter from airlines or travel agents (itinerary) confirming purchased of either an onward or return passage from Indonesia.
  3. Passport must be valid at least 6 (six) months.
  4. Verbal Note from the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation for the Namibian Citizen and Verbal Note from the Angola High Commission for the Angolan citizen.
  5. Visa fee is free.

For Visit Visa (for Holiday, Family, Social, Cultural, Business purposes)

Applicant must bring these following documents:

  1. Application Form to be completed with 2 (two) photographs and submitted with your passport.
  2. Letter from airlines or travel agents (itinerary) confirming purchased of either an onward or return passage from Indonesia.
  3. Passport must be valid at least 6 (six) months.
  4. Visa fee:
  • Single visit (60 days) N$ 675 or US$ 50
  • Multiple visit (60 days) N$1485 or US$ 110

For Limited Stay Visa (Working, Investment, Research, Study, Dependant, Repatriation, Retirement)

Applicant must bring these following documents:

  1. Application Form to be completed with 2 (two) photographs and submitted with your passport.
  2. Letter from airlines or travel agents (itinerary) confirming purchased of either an onward or return passage from Indonesia.
  3. Passport must be valid at least 6 (six) months.
  4. Recommendation letter from sponsor in Indonesia (employer/company/university/related ministry).
  5. Approval letter from the Indonesia's immigration authority in Jakarta *)
  6. Visa fee:
  • Visa for limited stay (6 months) N$ 745 or US$ 55
  • Visa for limited stay (1 year) N$ 1485 or US$ 110
  • Visa for limited stay (2 years) N$2430 or US$ 180

*) Procedure to attain the approval letter from the Immigration Authority in Jakarta:

  1. Applicant must have a sponsor in Indonesia (could be individual person or company)
  2. The sponsor must apply for the applicant's visa to the Immigration Authority in Jakarta.
  3. After the application is approved, the Immigration Authority would send the approval letter to the applicant.
  4. The applicant may submit the letter along with the passport to the embassy.
  5. In general, the issuance of visa takes 2 (two) working days.

Please Note that for Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, Liberia, Nigeria, Somalia and Cameron Nationality Should have approval from Imigration Office in Jakarta Indonesia.
