Mme. Tri Astuti Sumartono, spouse of Agustinus Sumartono Indonesia’s new Ambassador to Namibia, paid a courtesy call to Madame Penehupifo Pohamba, First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, on February 16, 2012 at the State House.
 
In the visit conversation centered on OEWONA (Organization for the Empowerment of Widows/Widowers and Orphans of HIV and AIDS) where Mme. Pohamba is patron and founder. The First Lady explained the reasons behind the founding of OEWONA, how it is managed, the activities and programs done so far, and the urgency to address the pressing issues of HIV/AIDS in Namibia.
 
Towards the end of the visit, Mme. Sumartono presented the First Lady with a hand-made batik tablecloth from Yogyakarta. Mme. Sumartono was accompanied by Ms. Grace Worang and Ms. Asti Upiastirin. The courtesy call concluded with a brief photo session with Mme. Pohamba and  Ms Levinia from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
