Ambassador of Indonesia to New Zealand Amris Hassan inaugurated Mr. Paul White as Indonesia's Honorary Consul to New Zealand on Sunday, 27 May 2009. Paul White replaced his predecessor, Ian Clive Mackly. Among the guests in the ceremony are Michael Chilton from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, Sir Ron Carter, founder of Becca groups, United States Consul General in Auckland, Consul Generals of Japan and Samoa in Auckland. Ambassador Amris Hassan in his remarks appreciated Paul White and conveyed his hope that the new Indonesia's Honorary Consul would assist the Indonesian Embassy in Wellington to promote friendship between Kiwis and Indonesians. Paul White is a Managing Director of Beca International Holdings Ltd. He was born in May 5, 1958. Paul White has been assigned for 4 years in Jakarta (1990 - 1994) as Regional Director and Senior Project Manager Beca Carter Hollings Ferner Ltd. Before his appoinment as Honorary Consul, Paul White is the Chairman of ASEAN - New Zealand Combined Business Council - Indonesian Chapter.
