Social Cultural Visa

A single entry Social-Culture Visit Visa is valid if presented within 3 (three) months from the date of issuance.

A Social - Cultural Visa will be granted to conduct socio-culture activities (family gathering; social organizations; exchange visits between educational institutions; undertaking research and attending training programme in Indonesia etc.)

A Social Culture Visa could be extended in Indonesia and could be converted into a Temporary Stay Visa.

Approval from the Immigration Office in Indonesia is needed for applicants who wish to stay longer than 60 days which must be applied for by the applicant’s sponsor/relative/friends who reside/base in Indonesia. Visa will only be issued by the Consulate Office after receiving the authorization direct from the Immigration office in Indonesia.


SOCIAL CULTURAL VISA FOR SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Visa Requirements:

  • Original passport, valid for more than 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay.
  • Visa application Form completed in full with 1 (one) recent colour passport size photographs
  • Social Cultural Visa sponsored by social organizations or institution must provide sponsor letter or invitation on organization or institution letter head with complete address and contact person, mentioning the purpose of visit and duration of stay.
  • Copy of confirmed round trip Airline ticket/ Electronic ticket.
  • Visa fee C$65.00 in the form of a money order only, payable to the The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia

 

SINGLE OR MULTIPLE SOCIAL CULTURAL VISA UNDER FAMILY VISIT

Visa Requirements:

 

  • Original passport, valid for more than 6 (six) months beyond the intended length of stay.
  • Visa application Form completed in full with 1 (one) recent colour passport size photographs
  • Social Cultural Visa sponsored by family member or relative must provide letter of invitation from relative in Indonesia. Invitation letter need to show with complete name, address, contact number and KTP No. of relative or sponsor in Indonesia. If you apply for Multiple Entry Family Visit Visa, please mention on the sponsor letter that the you will require for multiple trip to Indonesia.
  • Copy of Passport/ KTP from relative or sponsor in Indonesia
  • For those who have Indonesian parent/spouse, must submit a copy of the valid Indonesia passport and round trip flight itinerary.
  • Copy of confirmed round trip Airline ticket/ Electronic ticket.
  • Multiple Entry Family Visit Visa is valid for 1 (one) year with maximum stay for every visit  is 60 days non-extendable.
  • Single Entry Family Visit Visa is valid for single entry 60 days and extendable to up-to 4 times.
  • Visa fee is C$65.00 for single entry or C$130.00 for multiple entry in the form of a money order only, payable to the The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia

 

SUBMITTING YOUR VISA :

  • To avoid any inconvenience or delay in the issuance of the visa, please reassure to submit the visa request no later than 7 days prior to departure and no more than 30 days prior to leaving Canada.
  • To avoid any delay, please make sure that all supported documents are submitted. It is advisable to check with the Consular Services if you do not receive your returned passport within 10 (ten)days after submitting it to the Consulate Office.
  • If the person who pick up the visa request(s) is not the applicant, please have a written consent letter/ authorization indicate the person name, id and contact number.
  • If the applicant would like the passport send or returned by courier (XpressPost, Fedex, DHL, Purolator, etc), please provide the Consular Office with pre-paid return envelope. For security reason, all documents that send via courier should have a Tracking Number and Signature Request on Delivery. The Consular Office will not accept or return your passport with postage stamp envelopes.
  • To applicants who would like to apply for Indonesian Visa and is not Canadian passport holder must present a copy of resident permit, study or work permit in Canada.
  • Please read carefully the rules and regulation prior to submitting your visa request. Falling to submit all visa requirements according to the purpose of visa, the visa will not be issued and the Consular Services will not be responsible for any inconvenience that the applicant will face.
