Welcome to the Consular Section's page of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Toronto site which covers the Province of Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In this section you will find information on visas and/or documents of immigration for foreign nationals or travel concern to Indonesia. The Consulate also legalizes documents that will be used in Indonesia for some purposes. We welcome you to consult us for detail information to meet your travel or legalization needs.
Please note that all information in this site is subject to update frequently, therefore please make sure to search any related information that suit to your questions before contacting us by phone. As to the high volume of phone calls to the Consulate during the office hour your call may not be answered as soon as possible. All inquiries that may not be found in this site can be submitted through email to consular@indonesiatoronto.org
The public service for Consular Affairs is open from Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 12.30pm. Please ask the Consular Staff about the possibility of arranging time of appointment if you cannot come during the scheduled hour at (416) 360-4020 ext 2271 or 2222.
We are improving our system to serve you better to process all the application in less than 3 (three) working days upon the completion of all requirements. However the process itself may take longer time if we need more information regarding your application. This policy is based on first come first serve basis and subject to the discretion of the Consular Officer at the Consulate.
The Consulate also welcomes the application that is submitted through mail or courier. In this regard we strongly suggest you to use the traceable courer services only. If you decide to use Canada Post, please choose Express Post service and tick "Without Signature Required" option for the delivery, otherwise we cannot process your application.
The Consulate cannot bear any responsibility to the lost or undelivered document submitted by applicant as it is your responsibility to check to the post office or courier service provider whether or not your application has delivered to our address.
Please also remember that Canada Post will never collect your documents from our office. Therefore we can only drop them into the mail box. This is a time where we have released your documents but Canada Post has not received it (hence no data on them). Should unwanted thing happen to that mail box, we do not have any data nor Canada Post on where your documents are.
Please note that the Consulate will not be able to receive any delivery before 9.30 am.
VISA
There are several types of visa that can meet any purposes and obtainable based on the purpose of visit and the length of stay. Please read all the information carefully as we only process the application upon the completion of all the requirements.
If you are visiting Indonesia for tourism or M.I.C.E. (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) for a short visit (max. for 30 days and extendable for another 30 days, one time only), we strongly suggest you take VISA ON ARRIVAL
For those requesting visa through a company sponsorship in Indonesia and have received an immigration’s approval (Telex Imigrasi) for their visit, this approval is not a Visa yet. You have to visit the Consulate for the Visa. In this regard, you still need to fill the application form.
In principle, the Consulate will only issue visa for Canadian passport. Applicants who hold other nationality passports must present their residency status in Canada such as Permanent Resident (PR) card, work permit or study permit, unless they have the Indonesian immigration’s approval (Telex Imigrasi) prior submitting the application.
