Indonesian Ambassador Hosted Art Exhibition By Southeast Asia’s Most Prominent Contemporary Artists From Indonesia

​From April 28 to June 20, 2015, Indonesian Ambassador, John A. Prasetio is hosting an art exhibition by one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent contemporary artists from Indonesia, Christine Ay Tjoe.

This exhibition is the first for Christine Ay Tjoe in South Korea which entitled Perfect Imperfect. This exhibition displays more than 50 of her art works which she made from the day she started her career in 2000 including her five never-been-displayed-before art works.

The opening ceremony was attended by hundreds of invitees, consist of fellow Ambassadors, pillars of the Korea Community as well as well-known businessmen in South Korea.

The exhibition is held at one of most renowned gallery in Seoul, the Song Eun Art Space Gallery and is sponsored by  Samtan Group, one of the largest Korean enterprises which has invested in Indonesia for many years. Acting as curator is Jasmine Prasetio, country manager for Sotheby’s Indonesia.

The Ambassador stated that he fully support the exhibition because of the benefits in branding Indonesia as a highly artistic society in international community as well as Korea. The Ambassador also stated that he saw this exhibition, which will be held for 2 months, as a wonderful opportunity to promote Indonesia. Hopefully by this exhibition Indonesia will also be known as home to world class artist whose works are aknowledge by international society.​​​
