Visa Services

A visa of the Republic of Indonesia is issued in the form of a sheet of paper attached to a passport. The type of visa issued shall be based on the visa application.

Foreign national planning to visit Indonesia for holiday, family, social, cultural, journalistic, education, research, business, etc may choose one of these visas:

 

Visit Visa

Foreign national could apply visit visa in the Embassy of the Republic Indonesia in Riyadh. For certain nationalities the applicant or their representatives must request approval of visit visa from the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.

A holder of Visit Visa is given up-to 60 days stay and can be extended in Immigration Office in Indonesia for 5 (five) time, each extension will be given another 30 days stay

a.      Foreign national that travel frequently to Indonesia for Family, Business, and Governmental visit purposes may apply Multiple Visit Visa.


A frequent traveler to Indonesia on a family, business, or governmental visit purposes, eligible to apply multiple visit visa in Indonesian Embassy or Consulates. His/her guarantor could apply multiple visit visa to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta Indonesia.


Multiple Visit Visa validity is one year. A holder of multiple visit visa is given up-to 60 days stay each visit and can't be extended.

​b.      Foreign national are planning to stay in a longer duration in Indonesia for purposes such as: Working, Investment, Research, Study, Dependant, Repatriation, Retirement may choose limited stay visa. To obtain this type of visa, you may apply limited stay visa in Indonesian Embassy or Consulates, or your guarantor may apply to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta, Indonesia


This type of visa is divided into several indexes that each visa index has different requirement, in addition to general requirements as follows:

  • Application + guarantee letter
  • Passport copy
  • Bank account copy

Requirement for limited stay visa for working:

  • Recommendation from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia

 

Requirement for limited stay visa for foreign investment:

  • Recommendation from the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia

 

Requirement for limited stay visa for research:

  • Recommendation from Research Institution such as the Ministry of Research and Technology or the Indonesian Institute of Sciences

Requirement for limited stay visa for education (student):

  • Recommendation from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia

 

Requirement for limited stay visa for family reunification:

1.   For a wife/husband of an Indonesian

  • Marriage certificate copy

 

2.   For a wife/husband of a wife/husband of a limited/permanent stay permit (ITAS/ITAP) holder

  • Marriage certificate copy
  • Husband/wife ITAS/ITAP copy

 

Requirement for limited stay visa for repatriation:

  • Document proofing that he/she was Indonesia nationality such as Indonesian ID or family card or birth certificate

 

Requirement for limited stay visa for retirement (minimum 55 years old):

  • Insurance
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Marriage Certificate Copy
  • Statement to rent accommodation
  • Statement to use domestic helper
  • Travel agent license of commerce
  • Travel agent tax file number
  • Letter of approval for travel agent as a retirement visa guarantor

     

c.      Diplomatic Visa or Service Visa​

A diplomatic visa or a service visa shall only be issued to the bearer of a diplomatic or service passport. Applications for diplomatic or service visas should be accompanied by diplomatic letters or official letters from Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia.
