According to the Presidential Regulation No. 21 Year 2016 on Visa Free Short-Visit, the following countries do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for a short visit of up to 30 (thirty) days:

Please note that this visa waiver scheme is non-extendable and cannot be converted into other type of visa. Furthermore, it is only valid for the following types of visit and is not valid for journalism visit:

  1. Leisure and tourism
  2. Family
  3. Social
  4. Art and Cultural
  5. Government visits
  6. Giving a lecture or attend a seminar
  7. Attend a meeting held by Head office or Representative office in Indonesia
  8. While in transit on the way to another country

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA-FREE SHORT VISITS

  1. Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months as from the date of entry into Indonesia.
  2. Onward or return tickets are compulsory.
  3. No compulsory vaccinations.
  4. (If applicable) Letter of invitation from institution in Indonesia.
  5. Visitors on Visa-Free Short Visits must enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.

    Please note that these regulations do not apply for foreigners/expatriates (including members of their family) who are assigned/based in Indonesia. Visa is required and should be applied for.
