Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference and 10th Anniversary of the New Asian-African Strateg

In​ Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Asian African Conference and 10th Anniversary of the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership (NAASP), The Government of the Republic of Indonesia will host a series of high level events with the theme “Strengthening South-South Cooperation to Promote World Peace and Prosperity” in Jakarta and Bandung on 19-24 April 2015. All 106 Asian and African countries as well as 16 observer countries and 25 international organizations will be invited to participate in this important event.


The objective of this forum is to bridge Asian and African nations to pursue stronger partnership and share experiences in enhancing both regions’ economic development. It is also an opportunity to discuss solutions and how to address common challenges through strengthening South-South Cooperation for peace and prosperity. 


The series of the meetings will begin with the Senior Official Meeting on 19 April 2015, followed by Ministerial Meeting on April 20th and Leaders Meeting on April 22nd-23rd 2015, which all will be held in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference will be held in Bandung on April 24th 2015. It will also consist of Asia-Africa Business Summit in Jakarta on 21-22 April 2015, as a side event.
