By Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Dalton Sembiring
and a very good afternoon to you all.
First, I would like to extend
my warm welcome to all the friends for coming to such a joyful “Indonesian
Culinary Spring Bazaar 2017”, an event that reflect a fusion of Indonesian gastronomic
and cultural diplomacy.
Today’s bazaar is to introduce
Indonesia through delicious and authentic Indonesian cuisines and beverages as
well as exquisite performances of its cultures, making our Indian and foreign
friends be more familiar with Indonesia and becoming more interested in it.
At this bazaar, you will be
given the opportunity to experience the richness of Indonesian spices blended
together uniquely in various cuisines such as Rendang, Sate Ayam, Nasi Goreng,
Bakso, and Gado – gado which are exhibited in booths around you. I believe you
will eat with gusto because they are amazingly tasteful.
Moreover, do not miss to also
enjoy Indonesian beverages which have unique flavours where some of them are a
fusion of natural and healthy herbs.
Not only presenting you the
delicacies of cuisines, yet, you will also be indulged with a show of diverse
Indonesian cultures namely 1) dances from Bali, Jakarta and Nusa Tenggara decorated
with vivid colours of costumes performed by Ladies Auxiliary of the Embassy and
staffs; and 2) the exciting sounds of Indonesian songs by students.
I believe today’s event will
not just be a promotion of Indonesia’s culinary and culture to be more
well-known and popular, yet it can contribute to strengthen cultural ties between
Indonesia and India as well as other countries and to closely connect the
people of both countries.
Finally, I sincerely hope you enjoy the bazaar and the shows. I believe
you will leave the Embassy’s compound with a full stomach and a cheerful
feeling. May this Saturday afternoon be a pleasant and enjoyable for all of us.
.. Danyavad .. Thank You .. Terima Kasih
