Cultural Shows are the source to create people to people contact directly and provides a perfect platform to understand each other more precisely.  Indonesia has a very rich background of Culture as well as the land of Sindh also possesses a very rich cultural history and hence both the brotherly nations have many similarities in this field.

 

In pursuance of active involvement, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi has participated and arranged the Indonesian Children’s Dance Performance at the City School, PAF Chapter in celebrating their Cultural Week on Wednesday, 26th May, 2010. Indonesian Students performed four different Indonesian Dances during the celebration. The four dances are: Blantek Dance from Jakarta; Sojojo Dance from Papua; Tanjung Katung Dance from North Sumatera and Badindin Dance from West Sumatera.

 

The City School displayed slogan “Long Live Indonesia-Pakistan Friendship, Cultural Show” in a very effective manner. The august audience looked very impressed and showed keen interest with the memorable performance, especially Sojojo Dance which was performed by seven Indonesian Students.

 

The Acting Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in his address urged the Students to work very hard and follow the motto of their great leader Qui-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s saying work, work and work and offered the Students to attend the class of Indonesian Dances at the premises of the Indonesian Consulate General which will start in the month of June, 2010. 

 

The Acting Consul General also informed the august audience about the Scholarship offered by the Government of Indonesia to the Pakistani Students. The Acting Consul General informed that Indonesia has so many places of interest with vast natural beauty. Indonesia is the country of thousands Islands and variety of culture. Indonesia is looking forward to welcome all audiences and invited the students to visit Indonesia during their upcoming vacations.

 

The Headmistress of the City School, PAF Chapter, Ms. Neelam Baray  thanked the Indonesian Consulate General and said that the management, staff and students of the City School, PAF Chapter are extremely grateful to them in the memorable presentation of Indonesians dances by the beautiful young performers from Indonesian students. They said that it was surly a delight to watch the rhythmic hand and body movements, perfectly coordinated dance step and lovely costumes. Long live Pakistan Indonesia Friendship.
