The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Karachi held the 1st Indonesian Solo Exhibition. Indonesian Solo Exhibition (ISE) was a comprehensive trade event which was inaugurated on 10 October 2009 by Minister of Industries and Commerce, Government of Sindh, H.E Mr. Abdul Rauf Sidiqqui at the Beach Luxury Hotel.
The Indonesian Solo Exhibition provided the opportunity to the businessmen of both the countries to explore the possibilities of entering new markets with a long-term vision of gaining economic prosperity.
The exhibition also marked the visit of High Ranking Officials from Indonesia along with key businessmen of Indonesia who especially travelled to Pakistan to attend the exhibition and met with the Pakistani Business community in order to strengthen economic relations between the two brotherly countries. The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia HE .Mr. Ishak Latuconsina arrived to Karachi specially to attend the exhibition and the Business Forum. Business Forum was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Islamabad. The representatives from Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, Indonesian Business Community and Pakistan Business Community gave their presentation regarding “The Prospect of Bilateral Trade and Business Relations between Indonesia-Pakistan after the signing of the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA)”
This was the first occasion when 26 Indonesian and 20 Pakistan companies participated in this Exhibition to introduce Indonesian products to the Pakistani Business Community and to the people of Pakistan. The visitors took keen interest in the Indonesian products. This event was so successful that it received appreciation from all levels.
Furthermore the Exhibition was highlighted the cultural shows, Indonesian Cultural Peformances like Puspawresti Dance, Piring Dance, Tanjung Katung Dance Sajojo Dance and Poco-poco Dances, were performed by the Indonesian and Pakistani students. The visitors fully enjoyed the Indonesian traditional colorful performances that were excellently organized and every one completely enjoyed and took great interest while many visitors have come forward to register the name of their children to learn the Indonesian Dances.
Besides, a Photo display was also very nicely arranged by Indonesian Consulate, which afresh the memories of the distinguished guests this revealed the Indonesia and Pakistan very old brotherly relationship and support. The Indonesian traditional music was also presented through the Exhibition which has made the event more colorful and delightful.
Pakistan and Indonesia shared experiences, knowledge, skill and information in various fields to complement each other. The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia committed to organize more such events every year in order to bring the business community of both the nations together on a single platform in order to progress in multiple fields of business and commerce.
