KBRI Kabul – On March 26th, 2017, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia for Afghanistan, Dr. Arief Rachman MD., has presented the letters of credentials to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who was also accompanied by Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, H.E. Nasir Ahmad Andisa and the Chief of State Protocol, H.E. Walid Nazari. The presentation of the credentials was preceded by the inspection of the guard of honor by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The presentation was followed by a courtesy call with the President Afghanistan.
On that occasion, the Ambassador conveyed that the bilateral relation between Indonesia and Afghanistan has been established for about 60 years since the opening of diplomatic relations in 1955. The Ambassador also conveyed his sincere hope for support and cooperation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan during his tenure as the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Afghanistan.
The President of Afghanistan expressed his special feeling towards Indonesia for its advancement in the field of democracy, security and political stability as well as in promoting Islamic values of harmony with other religions in Indonesia.
