Based on the Presidential Decision No. 21/2016, from the 10 March 2016, 169 countries citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia:

A. The following 15 countries/ special regions citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for the purposes of: Governmental Meeting, Education, Social Cultural, Tourist, Business, Family, Journalism or Transit up to 30 (thirty) days. Entry requirement for Visa-Free Short Visits TOURISM PURPOSE ONLY:

  1. Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months from the date of entry in Indonesia.
  2. Onwards or return tickets are compulsory.
  3. The Visa is un-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of visa.
  4. No compulsory vaccinations
  5. Visitors on Visa-Free Short Visits must enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.

b. Visa on Arrival
 
Short Visit Tourist Visa issued on Arrival ( VOA )
 
This facility is now available for nationals of the following countries: (List of the countries) (In accordance with the Regulation No. 26 year 2013 of Ministry of Law and Human Right of the Republic of Indonesia)
 
Citizens of these countries will be able to apply for a Visa on Arrival (VoA) valid for 30 days upon arrival by air or by ship through following airports and seaports. (List of airports and Seaports) (In accordance with the Regulation No. M.HH-01-GR.01.06 on January 12, 2010 of Ministry of Law and Human Right of the Republic of Indonesia)
 
A 30-day visa costs US$ 35 and is extendable for another 30 days. Be aware that Immigration officials calculate the 30-day period as follows: your arrival day is counted as your first day, and you must leave the country on the 30th or 60th day.
                                    
Entry Requirements for "VISA on ARRIVAL" (VoA)
1)    Passport must be valid for a minimum of 06 months as from the date of entry into Indonesia.
2)    Onward or return tickets are compulsory.
3)    No compulsory vaccinations.
4)    Visitor must be enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.
 
How to Obtain the "VISA on ARRIVAL" (VoA)
 
Travelers from the above countries must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival and the completed embarkation/disembarkation card they received from their airline. They must also be able to prove they have sufficient funds for their stay in Indonesia.
 
Arriving travelers with Visa-On-Arrival status have to go first to one of the "VoA Counters" to pay the appropriate fee and have their passports stamped with the VoA before proceeding to the Immigration Clearance Desk.
  
c. Single entry business visa
 
Single entry business visa ( Index:211 )
This visa is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times. The total maximum stay is 6 months.
 
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Onward or return tickets;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Invitation Letter of the company sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company;
6.     Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa if have);
7.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa
8.    The cost for visa is US$ 50 (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
9.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
 
d. Socio-cultural visa

Socio - cultural visa / Social Budaya ( Index:211 )
This visa is valid for 1 (one) or 2 (two) months; it can be extended 4 (four) times; the total maximum staying is 6 (six) months.
 
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Onward or return ticket;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Invitation Letter of the sponsor in Indonesia (and with Indonesian Resident ID Card/KTP, Indonesian Family Registry/KK, proof of having saving in Bank, phone number of sponsor).
6.     Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa if any);
7.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa
8.    The cost for visa is US$ 50 (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
9.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
 
Remarks:
This type of visa is very suitable for those who come to Indonesia with socio-cultural purpose such as: visiting relatives, friends, performing research, apprenticeship, student exchange inter institution of education, art and sport, without the intention to work because the intention is for socio-culture therefore this type of visa is sponsored by individual personally or by an Institution in Indonesia and not sponsored by a company.
 
e. Multiple entry business visa
 
Multiple Entry Business Visa (Index: 212)
This visa is valid for 12 months and the maximum staying permit is 60 days for each entry to Indonesia.
 
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Onward or return ticket;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
6.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa;
7.    The cost for visa is US$ 110.- (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
8.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
 
The above price is not valid for the following countries:  Afghanistan, Guinea, Iraq, Israel, North Korea, Cameroon, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia.
                                                                                      
Remarks:
Multiple entry business visa is valid for 12 months. For each visit the allowed maximum stay period is 60 days, which means this visa holder must depart from Indonesia after staying for 60 days and shall obtain another 60 days visa when arriving back in Indonesia. After staying for 60 days, the visa may not be extended at the local immigration office. This type of visa is very suitable for those who often come to Indonesia for business purpose without any intention to work within the maximum stay of 2 months. Since the purpose is for business, therefore this type of visa has to be sponsored by a company in Indonesia and may not be sponsored by an individual personally.The visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issuing.
 
f. Limited stay Visa
 
Limited Stay Visa (Working Visa/ Following the working Person) (KITAS/IMTA) (Index: 312, 317)
 
This visa is valid for 1 year or 2 years.
 
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Ticket;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
6.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa;
7.    The cost for visa is US$ 55.- for below 6 months; US$ 105.- for 6 months up to 1 year; US$ 180.- for 2 years (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
8.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
The above price is not valid for the following countries: Afghanistan, Guinea, Iraq, Israel, North Korea, Cameroon, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia.
 
g. Retirement visa
 
Retirement visa (Index: 319)
This visa is valid for 1 year.
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Ticket;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
6.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa;
7.    The cost for visa is US$ 55.- for below 6 months; US$ 105.- for 6 months up to 1 year (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
8.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
*Note:
·         Age is already 55 years old.
·         Already have residential address in Indonesia.
·         Having pension fund minimum USD 1,500/month complete with an evidence from the Pension Institution or Bank Savings Account (Deposit) minimum USD 15,000 also with an evidence from the Bank
·         Having Life Insurance with an evidence of the premium coverage from the Insurance Company (Insurer)
 
h. Student visa
 
This type of visa is appropriated for student who would like to stay in Indonesia for the purpose studying in one of the schools or colleges in Indonesia. The holder of this type of visa may stay in Indonesia for 1 full year using limited stay visa and shall obtain KITAS card from the local immigration office in the area where he/she stays and also will obtain other important documents such as Police clearance from the police department, etc.
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
3.    Ticket;
4.     Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
5.    Letter from the school/ colleges in Indonesia;
6.    Copy of the Approval Letter from Immigration Department in Indonesia (if any)
7.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa;
8.    The cost for visa is US$ 50.- for 2 months; US$ 55.- for below 6 months; US$ 105.- for 6 months up to 1 year; US$ 180.- for 2 years with Approval Letter from Immigration Department (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
9.    The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
 
i. Seafarer’s visa
 
VISA FOR VESSEL CREWS (Index No. A111 is changed to Index No. B211)
Requirements:
1.    Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
2.    Copy of Seaman Book;
3.    There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
4.    Ticket;
5.    Invitation Letter of the company sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company with detail schedule;
6.    Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
7.    Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa;
8.    The cost for visa is US$ 50.- (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
The visa will be processed within 4 working days.
 
j. Journalist Visa
 
Requirements:
Pursuant to the Decision of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. PL 500/020 597 and BB-2280/DEP/X/00 regarding the requirement of film foreign producer to carry out in Indonesia as follows:
 
1. Recommendation Letter from TV Station/Agency (Attached the list of equipments);
2. Approval Letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
3. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);
4. Original Passport and photocopy of the passport; the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
5. Invitation Letter from Indonesian sponsor;
6. Original and photocopy Press Card;
7. Onward or return ticket;
8. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
9. ​The cost for visa is US$ 50.- (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

2. Diplomatic/Service Visa
 
a.  Posting Visa (Diplomatic/Service Passport)
 
In accordance with the Regulation of Director of Consular Directorate of the Republic of Indoensia, Diplomatic/Service visas are given to foreign citizens bearing diplomatic/Service passports, for the conduct of diplomatic/Service duties/assignment in Indonesia.
 
Based on reciprocity, the diplomatic visa is free of charge, provided by the applicant is eligible and completed all the requirements.
 
Request for Diplomatic/Service Visas must be submitted via an Indonesian diplomatic/Consular Mission aboard, by filling out the appropriate application form and enclosing:
1.    Two recent color photographs (passport size);
Note: Do not staple or affix the photographs on the form;
2.    The original diplomatic /Service passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia;
3.    A diplomatic note from Department of State/ Embassy/Consulate and/or related agencies confirming the person’s diplomatic/service assignment;
4.    Passport holder of the United Nations (Laissez-Passer) must have a letter of assignment from related international organization (IMF, The World Bank, ect)
5.    Passport contains at least two blank visa pages. Amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa purposes.
 
b. Visit/Meeting Visa (Diplomatic/Service/United Nations Passport)
 
Requirements:
1.    Two recent color photographs (passport size);
Note: Do not staple or affix the photographs on the form;
2.    The original diplomatic /Service passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia;
3.    A diplomatic note from Department of State/ Embassy/Consulate and/or related agencies confirming the person’s diplomatic/service assignment;
4.    Passport holder of the United Nations (Laissez-Passer) must have a letter of assignment from related international organization (IMF, The World Bank, ect)
5.    Passport contains at least two blank visa pages. Amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa purposes.
6.    Invitation Letter from Indonesian sponsor (if any)
7.    Onward or return ticket
8.    Fill out the application form for Indonesian visa
9.    The visa will be processed within 3 working days.

B.  Legalization of Documents
 
Legalization Information:
 
This service is provided by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City for those who need to legalize Vietnamese or Foreign document(s) to be used in Indonesia and Indonesian document(s) to be used in Vietnam
 
For Vietnamese or Foreign document(s), the Consulate General will legalize document(s) only after the document(s) has been legalized by Department of External Relations in Ho Chi Minh City/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi.
 
For Indonesian document(s), the Consulate General will legalize all document(s) which has been legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Indonesia. Without the legalization of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate General will consider, check and seen by the document(s).
 
The legalization processing completed within three working days, starting the date when the document(s) deliver directly (by hand delivery) during Consular Window's hour.
 
The legalization fee is US $ 20.00 per document and must be paid in cash and US Dollar only.
 
Please provide the power of attorney; original document(s) and 2 copies of document(s) to be legalized for Consulate’s file; copy of passport/ID Card/Residential Card of applicant and authorized person; copy the Contract/Agreement; copy of Investment Certificate of company; copy of Work Permit, ect.
