I. Visa-Free for Short Visit

Based on the Presidential Decision No. 21/2016, from the 10 March 2016, 169 countries citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia:

A. The following 15 countries/ special regions citizen do not require a visa to enter Indonesia for the purposes of: Governmental Meeting, Education, Social Cultural, Tourist, Business, Family, Journalism or Transit up to 30 (thirty) days. Entry requirement for Visa-Free Short Visits TOURISM PURPOSE ONLY:

    1. Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months from the date of entry in Indonesia.
    2. Onwards or return tickets are compulsory.
    3. The Visa is un-extendable and cannot be converted into another type of visa.
    4. No compulsory vaccinations
    5. Visitors on Visa-Free Short Visits must enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.

A 30-day visa costs US$35 (and additional costs when extending the VOA). Be aware that Immigration officials calculate the 30-day period as follows: your arrival day is counted as your first day, and you must leave the country on the 30th or 60th day!

How to Obtain the "VISA on ARRIVAL" (VoA) 

Travelers from the above countries must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival and the completed embarkation/disembarkation card they received from their airline. They must also be able to prove they have sufficient funds for their stay in Indonesia.

Arriving travelers with Visa-On-Arrival status have to go first to one of the "VoA Counters" to pay the appropriate fee and have their passports stamped with the VoA before proceeding to the Immigration Clearance Desk.


III. Single entry Business/Tourist visa

A. Visa Index B211A

This visa is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days. The total maximum stay is 6 months.

    4. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
    5. Invitation Letter of the sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company/missions;
    6. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa if any);
    7. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);
    8. The cost for visa is US$ 50 (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
    9. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

B. Visa Index B211B

This visa is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days. The total maximum stay is 6 months.

Purpose:

    • Provide guidance, counseling and training in the application and innovation of industrial technology to improve the quality and design of industrial products as well as cooperation of overseas marketing for Indonesia
    • Conducting audits, quality control of production or inspection at company's branches in Indonesia
    • Candidate of foreign worker in testing theworking ability
    • Other activities as listed in index A

Requirements:

    1. Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
    2. There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
    3. Onward or return tickets;
    4. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
    5. Invitation Letter of the company sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company;
    6. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
    7. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);
    8. The cost for visa is US$ 50 (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
    9. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

 

C. Visa Index B211C

This visa is valid for 2 months and it may be extended 4 (four) times, each time for 30 days. The total maximum stay is 6 months.

Purpose:

    • Journalism that has received permission from the Indonesian authorized institutions
    • Making film non-commercial and has received permission from the Indonesian authorized institutions
    • Other activities as listed in index A

Requirements:

    1. Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
    2. There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
    3. Onward or return tickets;
    4. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
    5. Invitation Letter of the company sponsor in Indonesia/ Decision Letter of the sponsor company;
    6. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
    7. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);

    9. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

 

IV. Multiple Entry Visa (Index: 212)

This visa is valid for 12 months and the maximum staying permit is 60 days for each entry to Indonesia.

    6. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);
    7. The cost for visa is US$ 110.- (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
    8. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

Remarks:

Multiple entry business visa is valid for 12 months. For each visit the allowed maximum stay period is 60 days, which means this visa holder must depart from Indonesia after staying for 60 days and shall obtain another 60 days visa when arriving back in Indonesia. After staying for 60 days, the visa may not be extended at the local immigration office. This type of visa is very suitable for those who often come to Indonesia for business purpose without any intention to work within the maximum stay of 2 months. Since the purpose is for business, therefore this type of visa has to be sponsored by a company in Indonesia and may not be sponsored by an individual personally.


The
visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issuing.

 

V. Limited Stay Visa

A. Limited Stay Visa for Working as Expert of WTO (Index C311)

Requirements:

    1. Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;
    2. There are still 2 blank pages in the passport which are still clean / empty;
    3. Ticket;
    4. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
    5. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);
    6. Fill out application form for Indonesian Visa (The Form);
    7. The cost for visa is US$ 55.- for below 6 months; US$ 105.- for 6 months up to 1 year; US$ 180.- for 2 years (pay in cash and US Dollar only);
    8. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

B. Limited Stay Visa for Working (Index C312)

Purpose:

    • Working as expert
    • Join to work on board, floating equipment, or installations operating in the territorial waters of the archipelago, territorial sea, or continental shelf, as well as the Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone
    • Performing duties as a clergyman
    • Doing activities related to the profession by receiving payment
    • Undertake activities in the framework of making commercial film and has received permission from the authorized institutions
    • Conduct quality control of goods or production
    • Conduct inspection or audit on company'sbranch in Indonesia
    • Serving after-sales
    • Install and repair the machine
    • Doing non-permanent work in the framework of construction
    • Performing arts, music, and sports
    • Holding a professional sporting event
    • Doing medication activities
    • Prospective foreign worker who will work in the framework of expertise testing

Requirements:

C. Limited Stay Visa for Investment (Index C313, C314)

Purpose: Invest a foreign modal at least 1 year or 2 years

Requirements:

    1. Original and Photocopy of passport, the validity of passport is minimum 06 months;

    3. Ticket;
    4. Latest photo (2 pcs with passport size with red color background). The photo must be original one not the result of scan;
    5. Photocopy of visa approval letter from the immigration Department in Jakarta (Calling Visa);

D. Limited Stay Visa for Participating in scientific training and research (Index C315)

F. Limited Stay Visa for Family union (Index C317)

Purpose: Family union, following husband/wife/parents working/living in Indonesia

:

Purpose: Repatriation

Requirements:

Purpose: Retire in Indonesia

Diplomatic/Service visas are given to foreign citizens bearing diplomatic/Service passports, for the conduct of diplomatic/Service duties/assignment in Indonesia.

Based on reciprocity, the diplomatic visa is free of charge, provided by the applicant is eligible and completed all the requirements.

Request for Diplomatic/Service Visas must be submitted via an Indonesian diplomatic/Consular Mission aboard, by filling out the appropriate application form and enclosing:

1.     Two recent color photographs (passport size);

Note: Do not staple or affix the photographs on the form;

2.     The original diplomatic /Service passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia;

    1. A diplomatic note from Department of State/ Embassy/Consulate and/or related agencies confirming the person's diplomatic/service assignment;
    2. Passport holder of the United Nations (Laissez-Passer) must have a letter of assignment from related international organization (IMF, The World Bank, ect)
    3. Passport contains at least two blank visa pages. Amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa purposes.
    4. The approval letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia

 

Visit/Meeting Visa (Diplomatic/Service/United NationsPassport)

Requirements:

1.     Two recent color photographs (passport size);

Note: Do not staple or affix the photographs on the form;

2.     The original diplomatic /Service passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia;

    1. A diplomatic note from Department of State/ Embassy/Consulate and/or related agencies confirming the person's diplomatic/service assignment;
    2. Passport holder of the United Nations (Laissez-Passer) must have a letter of assignment from related international organization (IMF, The World Bank, ect)
    3. Passport contains at least two blank visa pages. Amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa purposes.
    4. Invitation Letter from Indonesian sponsor (if any)
    5. Onward or return ticket
    6. Fill out the application form for Indonesian visa (The Form​)
    7. The visa will be processed within 4 working days.

B.  Legalization of Documents
 
Legalization Information:
 
This service is provided by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City for those who need to legalize Vietnamese or Foreign document(s) to be used in Indonesia and Indonesian document(s) to be used in Vietnam
 
For Vietnamese or Foreign document(s), the Consulate General will legalize document(s) only after the document(s) has been legalized by Department of External Relations in Ho Chi Minh City/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi.
 
For Indonesian document(s), the Consulate General will legalize all document(s) which has been legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Indonesia. Without the legalization of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate General will consider, check and seen by the document(s).
 
The legalization processing completed within three working days, starting the date when the document(s) deliver directly (by hand delivery) during Consular Window's hour.
 
The legalization fee is US $ 20.00 per document and must be paid in cash and US Dollar only.
 
Please provide the power of attorney; original document(s) and 2 copies of document(s) to be legalized for Consulate’s file; copy of passport/ID Card/Residential Card of applicant and authorized person; copy the Contract/Agreement; copy of Investment Certificate of company; copy of Work Permit, ect.
