Visit Visa (Index 211 & 212 and VoA)

​Visit visa is granted to foreigners who plan to visit Indonesia for the purpose of tourism, family visit, social, art and cultural visit, government duty, non-commercial sport activity, benchmarking, shortcourse, giving consultation and training in implementing technological innovation on industry to improve Indonesian industrial product design quality, and foreign marketing, journalistic (with prior approval), non-commercial movie making (with prior approval), business meeting, buying goods or products, giving lecture or participating in seminars, participating on international exhibition, attending meeting held by head, regional or branch office in Indonesia, audit, quality control, inspection to a regional or branch office in Indonesia, foreign workers on probation, transit, and joining a transportation mode in Indonesia.


This visa is not valid for gainful employment and remuneration.


  1. Single Entry Visa (index 211)


Visa is valid for single entry only. Maximum length of stay in Indonesian territory is 60 (sixty) days starting from the first day of arrival, regardless of the time of arrival (e.g. arriving in Indonesia at 23.30 or 11.30 PM is considered Day 1).


Length of stay in Indonesia for holders of Visa 211 can be extended maximum 4 (four) times, with 30 days per extension. Request for visa extension must be submitted to the nearest Immigration Office in Indonesia at the latest 7 (seven) days before the allowed duration of stay expires.


Requirements for visa application:


  1. Completed Visa Application Form (download in .pdf here). Visa Application Form can also be obtained at the Visa & Consular Section at the Embassy, Mon-Fri, 09.30 – 12.30).

  2. Original passport with at least 6 (six) months validity upon the intended date of arrival in Indonesia.

  3. Copy of valid passport.

  4. For non Finland or Estonia citizens, attach a copy of valid Finland or Estonia resident permit.

  5. Two colored photo (3x4 or 4x6) with light background (preferably white), attached to the Visa Application Form.

  6. Copy of round-trip flight (two-ways flight) or travel itinerary.

  7. Copy of bank statement or proof of sufficient funds during the whole period of stay in Indonesia. For traveling family, only one bank statement or proof of sufficient funds per family is needed.

  8. For business, conference, or meeting purposes, attach the attestation or reference letter from the Finland or Estonia based company or institution and an invitation letter from the Indonesia based partner company or institution.

  9. For social or family visit, attach the invitation letter from Indonesia based family or friend and copy of their national ID (KTP or Indonesian Passport)

  10. For internship, attach the reference letter from applicant's education institution and an invitation or reference letter from the Indonesian based company/organization/other local partner.

  11. For non-profit activity (volunteering), attach the invitation or reference letter from the Indonesian based company/organization/other local partner.

To do so, please enclose a self-addressed return envelope (registered) with an attached stamp. The passport will be sent to the address specified on the self-addressed envelope.   1. Multiple Entry Visa (index 212)


Visa is valid for multiple entries to Indonesia. Visa is valid for a maximum period of 1 year starting from the date of issue of the visa, with no more than 60 days per visit.


This type of visa is applied for those who require several visits to Indonesia for the purpose of official government activities, business or commercial activities, and family visit.


This visa is not valid for gainful employment and cannot be converted into any other type of stay permit.

This type of visa requires Visa Authorization from the Directorate General of Immigration in Indonesia. Please check Directorate General of Immigration’s website herefor more detailed info.


Requirements for visa application:


  1. Completed Visa Application Form (download in .pdf here​). Visa Application Form can also be obtained at the Visa & Consular Section at the Embassy, Mon-Fri, 09.30 – 12.30).

  2. Original passport with at least 1 (one) year validity upon the intended date of arrival in Indonesia.

  3. Copy of valid passport.

  4. For non Finland or Estonia citizens, attach a copy of valid Finland or Estonia resident permit.

  1. Visa on Arrival (VoA)


Holders of national passport issued by 68 countries (including Finland and Estonia) as listed below are eligible to obtain Visa on Arrival (VoA) upon their arrival in Indonesia at the designated airports, seaports or land border checkpoint.


VoA is valid for a maximum of 30 days of stay starting on the first day of arrival regardless of the time of arrival. VoA is issued at the discretion of the Immigration Officer at the point of arrival.


VoA can be extended for another 30 days subject to the discretion of the Immigration Office in Indonesia. To do so, travelers are advised to contact the nearest local Immigration Office in Indonesia.


If you are unsure or do not have any sponsor in Indonesia for the purpose of VoA extension or if you are a holder of temporary/ emergency passport or other travel documents (non-national passports), you are strongly advised to apply for a single entry visa in advance prior leaving Finland or Estonia for Indonesia.


A VoA cannot be converted into any other type of visa or stay permit in Indonesia.


Requirements for VoA application:


  1. Original passports valid for at least 6 (six) months upon the date of entry to Indonesia (holders of temporary/ emergency passports or other travel documents are not eligible to apply for a VoA)

  2. Return ticket or onward passage ticket

  3. Visa fee (US$ 35), paid at the Immigration Checkpoint in Indonesia
