INDONESIAN STAND IN VIETNAM EXPO 2013 ATTRACT MANY VISITORS

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

?The 23th Vietnam International Trade Fair - VIETNAM EXPO 2013 was organized and held on 10-13 April 2013 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, VINEXAD - VIETNAM International Trade Fair and Advertising at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEFAC).

 
There were more than 400 participants from Vietnamese companies and 17 overseas participants including India, Belarus, Cuba, Cambodia, Korea, Hong Kong, Laos, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia, Nigeria, Republic, Singapore, Slovakia, and China at the Expo.
 
The Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi provided assistance to seven Indonesian companies during their presence at the expo. These 07 Indonesian companies were PT. Dragon Prima Farma (cosmetics), CV Bintang Jati Furniture (wood craft), Artisan VII Handicrafts & Furniture, Kusuma Art (crafts), PT. Savindo Karya Perdana (batik and accessories), Sekawan Cosmetics and SFG Accessories.
 
The Indonesian stands were located in the main building of VEFAC displaying a wide variety of batik and handicraft products, cosmetic products, and accessories. The Indonesian stands attracted numerous visitors and were packed with visitors of all ages. There was special interest from the Vietnamese public on Indonesian batik products due to their uniqueness and affordability to most visitors. Among them, male visitors especially liked hem batik while female visitors liked batik fabric and scarves. On the opening day of the Expo when several high-ranking officials of Vietnam and Hanoi's diplomatic circles attended the event, products from Indonesia also attracted a lot of attention from diplomatic circles in Vietnam. Indonesian Ambassador Mr. Mayerfas also attended the opening of the exhibition and played a crucial part in introducing and promoting Indonesian products being sold during the expo.
 
Having witnessed the enthusiasm of the visitors at the exhibition, Indonesian entrepreneurs who have participated in this year’s Exhibition expressed their desire to take part in the 2014 Vietnamese Expo. The Vietnam market is seen as a potential target for the exports of Indonesian products, especially clothing, handicraft products and accessories. On this occasion, some Indonesian companies have also succeeded in sealing large orders from importers of Vietnam.
 
The Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi will continue to utilize every means available to promote Indonesian products and continue to strive to increase the value of trade between Indonesia and Vietnam as well as improve and expand exports of commodities from Indonesia to Vietnam.
