OPENING OF THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 67th INDEPENDENCE DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

On June 11, 2012, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City has conducted the opening ceremony of a series of activities in order to enliven the 67th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The opening ceremony started with the Committee Chairman report, Zaenur Rofid, followed by the beating of a tennis ball by the Consul General Hartono Eko as a symbol of the commencement of the commemoration of the 67th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. In commemoration of the 67th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City will conduct 3 (three) main events that is: First of all, the main event of the flag-raising ceremony will be held on August 17, 2012. Secondly, the diplomatic reception night will conducted on August 22, 2012. Last, competitions and sports events as well as dexterity. In order to enliven the 67th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, there are 7 (seven) competitions and sporting events as well as dexterity to be contested, such as: tennis, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, scrabble and gaple competition. From 7 (seven) competitions and sporting events as well as dexterity to be contested, there are 2 (two) events which opened for the public participations namely: table tennis and basketball. In addition to these activities, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao City also hosts a Fun Night (Malam Gembira) that will be held on August 16, 2012 at the House of Indonesia and the social activities like blood donation and tree planting.
