II. Bilateral Relations

  • Politics

Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Guinea opened in 1963. Both countries support each other in various international forums, among others, Guinea supported the candidacy of Indonesia as a member of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Category C for the period of 2016-2017.

  • Economy and Trade

​In the economic field, the value of trade between Indonesia and Guinea reached USD 29,9 million in 2016, decreased 32% compared to 2015 (USD 44 million) with a surplus on the Indonesian side.

  • ​Social-Culture

During the period 2012 - 2017, there have been no successful citizen of Guinea receiving scholarships from the Governmen​t of Indonesia.
