II. Bilateral Relations

  • Politics

Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Guinea opened in 1963. Both countries support each other in various international forums, among others, Guinea supported the candidacy of Indonesia as a member of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Category C for the period of 2016-2017.

  • Economy and Trade

​In the economic field, the value of trade between Indonesia and Guinea reached USD 47.8 million in 2014, decreased 3.7% compared to the year 2013 with a surplus on the Indonesian side.

  • ​Social-Culture

In the period 2012 - 2015, there had been no successful citizen of Guinea who received scholarships from the Government of Indonesia.
