Indonesia Objects to “Free West Papua” Office in Oxford, U.K.

In response to news reports of a “Free West Papua” office in the city of Oxford in England, the Indonesian Government conveyed its strong objection to that incident. The Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said, “Based on our instructions, the Indonesian Ambassador in London has presented the Indonesian Government’s position to the British Government. A similar protest has been lodged through the British Embassy in Jakarta.
