18 Indonesian Chess contingent under Indonesian Chess Association (PERCASI) are scheduled to joint 44th Biel Chess Festival, which will take place from 18th to 29th July 2011 in Biel, Switzerland. The contingent which consists of 13 players and 4 officials are welcomed by the Ambassador of Indonesia H.E. Djoko Susilo in his residence 15/7. In his remarks, the Ambassador express his warm welcome and wishes that the players will do their best at the tournament. The 13 Indonesian players are : Susanto Megaranto (GM/Indramayu), Tirta Chandra Purnama (IM/Jakarta), Anjas Novita (FM/Indramayu), Taufik Halay(IM/Pemalang), Dede Lioe (IM/Bandung), Hamdani Rudin (FM/Medan), Cerdas Barus (GM/Medan), Irine Kharisma Sukandar (WGM/Jakarta), Medina Warda Aulia /WFM/Jakarta), Devi Ardiani Anastasia Citra (WFM/Tarakan), Evi Lindiawati (WCM/Jakarta), Kadek IIN Dwijayanti (WCM/Buleleng), Chelsea Monica Ignesias Sihite (WFM/Balikpapan). The players are accompanied by 4 officials : Kristianus Liem, Rikardo, Rudijanto Majella, Rivaldo Rais, and Monang Mangasa Sirumapea. Magnus Carlsen (NOR), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (FRA), Alexei Shirov (ESP), Fabiano Caruana (ITA), Alexander Morozevich (RUS) and Yannick Pelletier (SUI) will participate in this event. Master Tournament will be an 11-round open with the prize fund of CHF 43'000. Main Tournament will be a 9-round open for the players rated under 2050 FIDE and with the prize fund of CHF 10'600. After Biel, 8 from 18 players are listed to join international tournament in Russia.
