Charge d'Affaires (KUAI) Indonesia in Bogota, J. Subagia Made, receives the Orden Ley y Democracia Fransisco Paula Santander award from the Board of Directors of the Sociedad Colombiana de Prensa y Medios de Comunicación (ACP). This special award was a form of appreciation of the KUAI’s contribution in enhancing bilateral relations between Colombia and Indonesia.Subagia who received the award in the Congress Building of Colombia last week, was the first and only foreign representative. He was elected along with 15 other persons from 700 candidates.Subagia stated how the award showed the Colombian media’s great attention to the activities and efforts of the Indonesian Embassy, particularly in encouraging and promoting the relations between Indonesia and Colombia, including among the people of various regions and provinces of Colombia."The award also helps promote the positive image of Indonesia in the eyes of the Colombian society, including the press," he added.The awarding ceremony began with the national anthem of "Indonesia Raya" by WR Supratman with musical composition by Symphony Orchestra played live by the Colombian Presidential Orchestra, followed by Colombia's National Anthem "O Gloria Inmarcesible".In addition to local media coverage, the ceremony was also attended by the President of ACP, Alfonso Lopez Caballero, the President of the National Board of Directors of Sociedad Amigos del Pais Doctor Horacio Serpa Uribe, the Colombian Senator of Media Affairs, Doctor Edgar Espindola Niño, member of the Senate and Camara Representante (House of Representatives), government officials and various figures of the press in Colombia.
