Baku, 3 August 2017. The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Baku will hold the Second Indonesian Cultural Festival (ICF) on 9 September 2017 at Heydar Aliyev Palace and on 10 September 2017 at Seaside Boulevard, Baku.
To ensure that Azerbaijan can have the full experience of Indonesia, the Indonesian Embassy at Baku had seek the partnership of several provincial governments in Indonesia, as well several prominent companies from Indonesia.
"Both events will bring people at Azerbaijan closer to Indonesian. Our purpose from these events is to give you a better understanding of how Indonesian live their life, their values as well as their inspiration," said H.E. Dr. H. The first day of the ICF will utilize the majestic venue of HeydarAliyevPalace to present the cultural exhibition and performances from several part of Indonesia. It will showcase Indonesia as its best, a vast archipelago from West to East, from Sumatera Island to Papua Island,comprising more than 17,600 islands with diversity as its main value. The diversity in Indonesia is ranging from the daily Hindu rituals practiced on the island of Bali to the prevalence of Islamic sharia law in Aceh (Sumatra).
The seaside boulevard will be the venue for the second day of ICF, in which not only you can experience Indonesia but also be able to participate with the event. The funwalk will be an event where Azerbaijani can dance and sing with performers from Indonesia, get a direct know how to create several of Indonesian cultural masterpiece, and finding out how the young generation of Indonesian do their best efforts to preserve their cultural legacy.
Both event would also serve as a showcase of the people to people relation between Indonesia and Azerbaijan, with more than 15 performers participating at the event are students at Azərbaycan Dillər Universitetində.
