The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Algiers, Ms. Yuli Mumpuni Widarso at the meeting with the Algerian Minister of Transport, Mr. Amar Tou, August 10, 2009 spoke about the development in Indonesia, particularly in the transport sector.
 
The development of the transport sector is one of the priorities of the Government of Indonesia, given the geography of Indonesia comprises 17,000 islands and the population of more than 230 million inhabitants spread over many islands, require reliable transportation or land transport, sea and air.
 
Therefore, the industrial activities that promote the development of transport in Indonesia has experienced a booming industry as one of the bodywork of cars and trucks, industry, shipbuilding and aerospace (aircraft). In addition, the Government of Indonesia has also given priority to the development of public transport, highways, railways and making fun of ferry ports, airports, shipping companies and airlines.
