ENHANCING BILATERAL RELATIONS, INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR FOR ETHIOPIA MEETS WITH THE ETHIOPIAN STATE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIR

On Friday, June 5, 2015, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Imam Santoso met with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Brehane Gebre-Christos who was accompanied by Director General for Asia and Oceania Affairs, Mr. Genet Teshome Jirru, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Addis Ababa. In the meeting it was noted that relations in the political field going very well, bilaterally and in multilaterally.

In Economics field, State Minister explained that Ethiopia's  economic has been rapidly growing and has a vast market which is offering big opportunity to investors. In response to this, the Ambassador promised to persuade Indonesian businessmen to invest in Ethiopia. He will invite Ethiopian Ministers and relevant officials including Vice-Minister at the inauguration of two Indonesian’s factories this year in Ethiopia. The presence of Ethiopian high-ranking officials will draw more attention of the Indonesian business community to invest in Ethiopia.

In Social Cultural relations, the Ambassador informed on the currently available Indonesian Scholarships for some Ethiopians to study language, IT, and Computer System in several Universities in Indonesia.
 
State Minister of Ethiopia who is also Head of the Ethiopian Delegation to the 60th Anniversary of Asia-Africa Conference was expressing his appreciation for the warm welcome provided by the Government of Indonesia during their stay in Indonesia. On that occasion he met with his counterpart, Indonesian Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs.​​
